Earthworks
With top machinery and a highly experienced earthmoving team, we carry out all earthworks and excavation projects to high accuracy and standards, every time.
Our fleet includes excavators of varying sizes, bulldozers, graders, loaders and compacting rollers and our team of highly trained drivers, and digger and dozer operators have been digging, levelling, land sculpting, moving dirt, rocks, rubble and spoil for years. Commercial and residential siteworks
Developments and house sites are our speciality. We have a range of earthwork machines suited to this type of work. From machines fitted out with laser level systems for accurate grade control right through to smaller excavators for footings and foundations, drainage jobs, accessways and driveway shaping and levelling. Our small diggers are great for difficult access sites and for excavating around driveways, lawns and houses while causing minimal disturbance.

Carpark construction and rehabilitation
We have small machines ideally suited for smaller, compact carpark areas, as well as larger machinery to construct commercial and industrial parking areas.

Farm accessways
As any farmer or lifestyle block owner will tell you, when you live in the country, you will need to move earth at some point.
Every block needs good accessways, drains and fences. A skilled digger operator can accomplish an amazing amount in a few hours, transforming your land for the better, whereas an inexperienced digger operator can make a real mess or lead to extra costs to repair damage caused. Don’t risk it.

Forestry roading
Rhodes for Roads has been providing services to the forestry industry since 1985. We undertake new road formations, pavement reclamation, stream crossings, skid site construction and environmental controls, working closely with forestry companies and private landowners as the forests across Rodney reach maturity.
Subdivisions
As the growth in Warkworth and the Matakana Coast has increased so too has Rhodes for Roads’ involvement in developing the area’s residential needs.
Since 1985, we have provided subcontract basecourse work through to complete construction packages, including earthworks, stormwater, sewer and pavement construction, for many of the residential developments across Rodney and the Hibiscus Coast.

Retaining walls
In a district that is generally hilly, retaining walls create more available flat area, shape properties, protect foundations, and hold up driveways and pathways. A well-built retaining wall will transform an unused or sloping section and protect against erosion, improving both the aesthetics and usability of any area.
There are many retaining wall options available. However, we mainly specialise in timber pole retaining walls for small 1m high house site walls through to 4m high slip repair walls, rock spawll walls, which provide a more natural finished product, and reinforced earth walls.
